Engineering (ME) - Systems Engineering
We are currently not offering the Master of Engineering Program.
The Master of Engineering is a practice oriented, focused degree. It is flexible: the format combines distance learning with on–campus coursework; there is no residency requirement.
The curriculum is personalized to meet your individual interests and career goals. Students may also qualify to transfer up to 6 units (depending on their home institution) from another institution.
Students interested in pursuing this track are required to take a collection of 4 common courses. In addition, they must complete a final report, which provides a critical analysis of a topic that is appropriate to the plan of study and is subject to approval by the advisory committee.
The College of Engineering was founded when theColorado Heights Universityopened its doors in 1885. Mining was the bedrock of colorado’s economy at that time, and educating mining engineers was a top priority – indeed, it still is.
As the state’s economy grew and diversified, the College of Engineering continued to play a pivotal role in providing the research and engineering expertise necessary for that growth.
In today’s competitive environment, graduates of the college are the entrepreneurs developing high-tech companies that are creating jobs and improving our quality of life.
An engineering education will provide the research to build new industries and the knowledge for those who run them.

Students are required to select 12CH of coursework from a predefined set of courses. In addition, they are required to take at least 9CH of elective engineering coursework and 6CH of coursework in business fundamentals. Students pursuing the M.Eng. degree via this curricular track are required to complete a final report, which provides a critical analysis of a topic that is appropriate to the plan of study and is subject to approval by the advisory committee. This program requires 31 units.
