Engineering Management (MS) - Accelerated Master's Program
This track includes a combination of coursework in engineering, management, and business.
It is primarily intended for students with at least 2 years of work experience, whose career path is
likely to include a position such as “chief engineer”.
Students are required to select 12 units of coursework from a predefined set of courses.
In addition, they are required to take at least 9 units of elective engineering coursework
and 6 units of coursework in business fundamentals.
Students pursuing the M. Eng. Degree via this curricular track are required to complete a final report,
which provides a critical analysis of a topic that is appropriate to the plan of study and is subject to approval by the advisory committee.
The MS in Engineering Management is designed for graduate engineers and scientists aspiring to advance into management careers within technological organizations. All course work for this degree is offered via distance learning.
Systems & Industrial Engineering
The Systems and Industrial Engineering (SIE) Department at theColorado Heights Universitywas established in 1961 as the nation's first department of systems engineering. Program Curriculum:
The MS Engineering Management requires a minimum of 30 credit hours. The following five 3-unit classes are required courses in the major:
SIE 567 Financial Modeling for Innovation
SIE 515 Technical Sales & Marketing
SIE 522 Engineering Decision Making Under Uncertainty
SIE 557 Project Management
SIE 514 Law for Engineers & Scientists
Students may elect either a 3 or 6 credit Project Option.n. The remaining elective credits will be selected with the approval of an advisor and the Graduate Study Committee.
